EMPLOYMENT LAW

The complexities of the employee-employer relationship include an ever-changing array of state and federal legislation and court decisions affecting the workplace. Employers are constantly faced with new, –and often complex, statutory regulations, increasing their potential exposure from the challenger of employment decisions, and increased oversight by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, and other government agencies.

Our Employment Law team helps employers navigate the potential liabilities, pitfalls, and challenges of a modern workforce. We represent management in all phases and types of employment litigation. Our attorneys combine a deep understanding of our clients’ business with a high degree of legal and technical expertise in labor and employment laws and regulations and their complexities, including specific procedures and venue provisions.

We deal with a wide variety of cases in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, including employment discrimination and civil rights cases under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family Medical Leave Act and their associated Amendments, hostile environment claims, sexual harassment, wrongful termination actions, the Equal Pay Act, Title VII, defense against whistleblower actions, state law retaliatory discharge claims, breach of contract and/or non-competition agreements, and other employment related claims.
